Lesson Overview

1.9 – Grief After Death vs. Grief After Separation: Losing someone to death and losing someone to separation both break the heart, but they feel different. Death closes one chapter forever, while separation leaves open pages that may never be read again. Both bring sadness, but separation often carries the pain of wondering “what if.” Recognizing these differences helps you treat yourself with care no matter the cause. Each kind of grief asks for different kinds of healing—acceptance for one, boundary-building for the other. You can mourn what was lost and still hold hope for new beginnings. Healing begins when you honor the depth of your attachment without losing yourself in it.
