Lesson Overview

9.20 – The Cycle of Guilt and Avoidance: Guilt and avoidance often feed each other in a loop. You feel guilty about something, so you avoid dealing with it, and that avoidance creates more guilt. Breaking that cycle starts with small acts of honesty. Facing guilt takes bravery but gives back control. Avoidance might protect you from discomfort now, but it multiplies stress later. Each time you confront guilt, you weaken its power. Reflection, apology, or action can close the loop that keeps you stuck. The goal isn’t to erase guilt but to understand it and move forward. When you choose to face instead of flee, guilt turns into growth. With practice, you replace avoidance with courage and peace takes its place.
