29.19 – How Fear Impacts Sleep and Dreams: Fear doesn’t always stop when the day ends—it can follow us into the night. When the mind is worried or overstimulated, it can be hard to relax enough to fall asleep. Even dreams can reflect hidden fears, turning rest into restless nights. The body may stay tense, the heart may race, or the mind may replay stressful memories. This lack of rest can then make fear stronger the next day, creating a cycle of exhaustion. Creating calming bedtime routines helps signal to the brain that it’s safe to rest. Journaling before bed or using slow breathing can help release worries. When we learn to calm our nervous system, our dreams often become lighter too. Rest is one of the best tools for reducing fear’s power.
