Lesson Overview

5.5 – Reframing Catastrophic Thinking: Catastrophic thinking makes small problems feel huge, like believing one mistake will ruin everything. This thinking drains your confidence and fuels panic. Reframing means stepping back and looking at the full picture. Ask yourself, “What’s the most likely outcome?” or “How might I handle this if it did happen?” Often, reality is far less scary than imagination. Writing down facts helps you separate fear from evidence. Reframing doesn’t mean pretending things are fine—it means seeing them clearly. Each time you challenge catastrophic thoughts, your brain builds a new, calmer habit. Over time, this shifts your default from panic to perspective.
