Lesson Overview

29.36 – Fear and the Inner Critic: The inner critic is the voice in our head that says we’re not good enough, and it often feeds on fear. It tries to keep us safe by warning us of failure or embarrassment, but it ends up holding us back. Recognizing that this voice comes from fear helps us see it differently. It’s not truth—it’s a defense mechanism that needs compassion, not obedience. Talking back to the inner critic with kindness and facts helps weaken its control. Replacing harsh thoughts with balanced ones builds confidence over time. The goal isn’t to silence the inner critic completely but to understand it and respond wisely. The quieter fear’s voice becomes, the louder self-belief grows.
