5.2 – The Difference Between Jealousy and Envy: Jealousy and envy feel similar but come from different places. Jealousy happens when you fear losing something you already have, like a friendship or partner’s attention. Envy shows up when someone else has something you want. Jealousy usually includes three people, while envy focuses on two. Knowing this difference helps you understand what your feelings are trying to say. Jealousy often connects to protection, while envy connects to desire. When you can name which one you feel, you gain control over your thoughts instead of being swept away by them. Both can teach you what matters most to you. By seeing them clearly, you can handle relationships and self-image with more honesty. Turning awareness into growth helps both emotions lose their power.
