Lesson Overview

32.48 – How to Support Others Struggling with Forgiveness: Supporting someone who can’t yet forgive requires patience and empathy. You can’t rush another person’s healing; you can only walk beside them. Listening without judgment helps them feel safe to express pain. Avoid pushing forgiveness as the only answer—sometimes, people first need to feel validated in their anger. Encourage small steps toward understanding rather than immediate release. Offer reassurance that forgiveness is possible but personal. Share stories, resources, or gentle reflections that inspire hope. Be the calm presence that reminds them peace is waiting when they’re ready. When someone feels seen and supported, forgiveness becomes less frightening. Helping others forgive is really about helping them believe they can heal.
