Lesson Overview

6.12 – The Link Between Anxiety and Sleep Problems: Anxiety and poor sleep feed each other like a loop. When you’re anxious, your brain stays alert and makes it hard to fall asleep. Then, lack of sleep makes you more sensitive to stress the next day. The cycle continues until you feel trapped in tired worry. Calming your body before bed can help break that loop. A cool, quiet, and dark room signals safety to your brain. Avoiding caffeine and heavy screens late at night helps too. Writing your thoughts down before bed tells your mind it’s okay to rest. Over time, small changes can improve both your sleep and your peace. Quality sleep gives your body the reset it needs to manage anxiety better.
