Lesson Overview

10.28 – Healing Doesn’t Mean Forgetting: Many people fear that moving forward will dishonor what they endured, but healing is not betrayal. Forgetting isn’t required for forgiveness or freedom. Memory can transform from a wound into wisdom when handled gently. The goal is integration—allowing your past to live beside your present without ruling it. You’ll still remember moments vividly, but they lose control over your reactions. Healing honors the experience by choosing growth instead of grief repetition. It acknowledges that you survived something significant and are now responsible for what comes next. When you remember without reliving, you prove mastery over the memory. In that balance, you discover that healing is an ongoing relationship with your story rather than an attempt to delete it.
