35.4 – Being Told to “Be Strong” When You’re Breaking: When people tell you to “be strong,” they often mean well, but it can feel like pressure to hide your truth. Strength isn’t about keeping it together; it’s about being real with what hurts. Crying, screaming, or sitting quietly with your sadness are all ways to release pain. If you bottle it up, it grows heavier. When you let yourself fall apart, your pieces can start to heal in the light. Sometimes strength means saying, “I can’t today.” It means asking for help when your energy is gone. You don’t owe anyone perfection—you owe yourself honesty. Being strong doesn’t mean being unbreakable; it means rebuilding after the cracks show. Over time, you’ll find that true power comes from letting others see your pain and choosing to rise anyway.
