Lesson Overview

13.14 – When They Love You But Still Hurt You: Sometimes someone truly cares yet still causes pain because caring doesn’t automatically mean emotional maturity. They might apologize without changing, or comfort you after the damage is done. Love without accountability becomes confusion disguised as passion. Real affection takes responsibility, not excuses. If their behavior repeatedly makes you feel unsafe or unseen, you have every right to step back. People can love you from their level of awareness, but that doesn’t mean it’s enough to keep you whole. Healing begins when you stop mistaking intensity for intimacy. Walking away doesn’t erase love—it honors your peace and teaches what healthy care should look like.
