30.16 – Writing a “Stay Here” Letter to Yourself: A “stay here” letter is a message from your strongest self to the version of you that feels like giving up. It reminds you of why life is worth fighting for when you can’t remember. Write about the people who love you, the goals you haven’t reached yet, the moments that once made you smile. Add small things — songs, scents, or dreams that spark warmth. Include gentle instructions for what to do when you’re in crisis, like who to call or where to go. Keep it nearby and read it when you feel unsafe. Each word becomes an anchor when your mind drifts toward darkness. You are both the writer and the reader — the one who saves and the one who’s saved. Every sentence proves that even your pain believes in your future.
