29.23 – Coping With Embarrassment or Shame After an Outburst: After an angry explosion, shame often hits harder than the anger itself. You might replay what you said, worrying about how others now see you. It’s tempting to hide or pretend it didn’t happen, but facing it honestly helps you move forward. Everyone loses control sometimes—it’s what you do afterward that defines your growth. Apologize, reflect, and identify what led up to it. Shame tries to keep you stuck, but responsibility sets you free. When you forgive yourself and commit to change, confidence slowly returns. Others respect honesty more than perfection. Emotional maturity means learning from mistakes instead of running from them.
