Lesson Overview

1.18 – How to Journal When You’re Not a Writer: Journaling isn’t about grammar or perfect sentences—it’s about honesty. Writing down your thoughts is like emptying a backpack that’s gotten too heavy. You can write lists, bullet points, single words, or doodles—whatever helps you unload. No one has to read it; it’s for your clarity, not anyone’s approval. Try starting with prompts like “Today I feel…” or “I wish people knew…” Writing by hand can slow your racing thoughts so your emotions make sense. You might discover patterns you didn’t notice before. Journaling gives your feelings a safe outlet so they don’t stay trapped inside. You don’t have to be a writer to write—you just have to be real.
