Lesson Overview

18.42 – Being Bullied by “Friends”: Bullying disguised as friendship can confuse you into thinking you’re overreacting. If jokes always cut deep or “teasing” leaves you uneasy, that’s emotional harm, not humor. Friends don’t earn laughter through humiliation. Confront gently but firmly; say how their words affect you and watch their response. Real friends will care enough to adjust. If they mock your feelings, believe their behavior the first time. Protecting your dignity is worth temporary discomfort. Healthy relationships never trade safety for inclusion. Walk away from cruelty masked as closeness. You deserve respect, not tolerance.
