Lesson Overview

8.37 – When Grief Feels Like Depression: Sometimes grief lingers so long it starts to feel like depression—tiredness, emptiness, or loss of interest in things you once enjoyed. The two overlap, but depression often brings hopelessness that makes daily life hard to manage. Pay attention if you stop eating, sleeping, or caring about anything at all. That’s when extra support is vital. Talking to a counselor or doctor doesn’t mean you’re broken—it means you’re brave enough to seek balance. Grief needs time, but depression needs care. Healing both starts with honesty and reaching out instead of isolating. There’s no shame in asking for help; it’s a way to protect the life still ahead of you.
