Lesson Overview

30.32 – When You’re Afraid You’ll Try Again: Fear of relapse can feel like walking a tightrope, always one bad thought from falling. That fear is valid, but it doesn’t mean you’re doomed. It means you care about staying safe. Prepare by recognizing triggers — exhaustion, loneliness, conflict — and create barriers like locking away harmful objects or contacting a friend. Each layer of safety you build gives you time to think clearly. Fear can be transformed into awareness when you use it as motivation to strengthen your coping tools. Remind yourself of the progress you’ve made and the proof that you’ve survived before. You are not starting over; you’re continuing a fight you’ve already begun to win. Every day you face that fear and still choose life, you turn anxiety into proof of courage.
