2.12 – What It Feels Like to Hit Rock Bottom: Hitting rock bottom feels like falling into darkness where nothing seems to matter. Time slows down, and everything feels heavy, even breathing. The brain starts whispering that you will never get out. But rock bottom is not the end—it is the turning point. When you reach the lowest place, there’s nowhere left to fall, only up to climb. The body might feel numb while emotions explode inside, leaving confusion behind. It’s okay to name that space for what it is—pain mixed with exhaustion. From there, small steps matter: standing up, drinking water, or texting someone trusted. Each action lights a spark in the dark. Remember that no one stays at rock bottom forever; people rise every day from worse. You may not believe in hope yet, but acting like it exists can make it real. The strength to survive this moment proves you have more power than you think. Rock bottom can become the start of rebuilding, not the story’s end.
