29.18 – When You Want to Break Things: Using Movement to Cope: Physical energy is part of anger—it builds pressure that demands to be released. When you want to throw or break something, that’s your body asking for movement. Channeling that energy safely through exercise, sports, or creative motion can prevent damage. Punching a pillow, running, or dancing hard to music all let the energy escape without harm. You don’t need to suppress the feeling; you need to redirect it. Controlled release turns chaos into power you can use. When your body feels heard through movement, your mind can finally settle. This approach teaches balance—how to express intensity without destruction. Over time, your body learns healthier patterns, and the urge to break things fades because the emotion has better exits.
