Lesson Overview

9.15 – What to Do If You’re Being Followed or Watched: The feeling of being followed triggers deep fear because your body senses possible harm before your mind can explain it. Trust that instinct—it’s your built-in alarm system. Shift from panic to strategy: go toward light, people, or open businesses. Avoid confrontations or isolated shortcuts. Keep moving confidently while calling or pretending to call someone. Note details discreetly—what the person looks like, vehicles, direction. Once safe, report what happened; speaking up protects others too. Afterward, your body might still shake, which is normal; fear releases through motion. Ground yourself with slow breaths and remind your mind that you reached safety. The goal isn’t to toughen up but to respond wisely. Awareness plus action equals power. You can’t control others, but you can control your response and reclaim your sense of control each time.
