29.04 – How to Tell When You’re Building Up to a Blow-Up: Everyone has early warning signs that anger is growing, but many people miss them until it’s too late. Your body might tense, your breathing might speed up, or you might replay a conversation in your head over and over. These are signs that pressure is building. Learning to notice those cues gives you a chance to step away, breathe, or change direction before emotions spill out. Anger builds like heat—slow at first, then boiling if ignored. Paying attention to when your tone sharpens or your shoulders tighten lets you take back control from the emotion itself. Calm doesn’t mean pretending nothing’s wrong; it means acting before things go too far. When you catch yourself mid-build-up, that’s progress. It’s not weakness—it’s emotional awareness, and it prevents damage you’ll regret later.
