8.22 – Grieving While Still in Survival Mode: Some people don’t have the luxury to grieve immediately because they’re still trying to survive—financially, emotionally, or physically. When you’re busy keeping life together, grief hides in the background, waiting. You might feel numb or disconnected, like you’re on autopilot. That’s your body protecting you until it’s safe to feel. When the chaos settles, emotions may flood in unexpectedly. Don’t judge yourself for grieving late; timing doesn’t define love. Even if months or years pass, your pain is still valid. When you finally have space to process, treat yourself gently. Sleep, rest, talk, or cry without rushing the release. Survival shows your strength; mourning shows your humanity. Balancing both is not weakness—it’s evidence of resilience and self-preservation, proof that even through crisis, you were still holding on.
