Lesson Overview

3.25 – When You’re Scared of Letting People Down: The fear of disappointing others can become heavier than failure itself. It makes you overcommit, overthink, and under-rest. This fear often comes from wanting love or respect, not weakness. Learning to separate your worth from others’ approval frees your energy. Start by identifying whose opinions truly matter and why. Perfection won’t earn peace if it costs your health. People who care about you prefer your honesty over fake success. Communicate when you need space or help; real supporters will understand. You can’t control others’ reactions, only your effort and integrity. Remind yourself that growth includes trial and error. Courage means doing your best even when others may not agree. Over time, boundaries and self-trust replace guilt. Letting people down occasionally is part of being human. The only person you must never abandon is yourself.
