Lesson Overview

27.04 – You Don’t Have to “Get Over It” to Move Forward: The idea that grief ends on a timeline is one of the most damaging myths we tell ourselves. You don’t have to “get over” someone’s death or erase their memory to live a full life again. Healing doesn’t mean closing the chapter; it means learning to carry it with you in a gentler way. Each day that you wake up and face the world, even with sadness in your chest, is progress. The people we’ve lost stay part of who we become, shaping how we love, protect, and see the world. You can laugh, dream, and plan for your future while still missing them. Moving forward isn’t betrayal—it’s honoring the lessons they left behind. Some days the weight feels lighter, and others it’s heavy again, but both are normal. Growth happens quietly in the background, through conversations, memories, and acceptance. You don’t heal by forgetting; you heal by remembering without breaking.
