24.07 – How to Meditate When Your Mind Won’t Stop: Meditation isn’t about erasing thoughts; it’s about watching them drift by without grabbing on. Many beginners quit because their minds chatter nonstop, but that noise is the very reason to meditate. The goal is gentle observation—like watching clouds float past. Sit comfortably, breathe naturally, and when thoughts appear, label them softly (“planning,” “remembering”) before returning to your breath. This repetition trains your attention to come back faster each time it wanders. Over weeks, the gap between thoughts grows wider, creating a calm awareness that follows you beyond meditation. Frustration fades as you realize you don’t need to win against your mind—you just need to notice it. Consistency matters more than perfection; even two minutes daily rewires focus and patience. When your mind races, remember: every return to the present is progress. The stillness you seek isn’t outside the noise; it’s the space you create within it.
