Lesson Overview

1.41 – Emotional Vocabulary Building Activities: Building a strong emotional vocabulary gives you power over what you feel instead of being ruled by it. Activities like matching words to facial expressions, using emotion wheels, or journaling about your day help you notice the difference between feeling “annoyed,” “frustrated,” or “furious.” The more specific you get, the better you can explain your needs and ask for help. Try writing down three emotions you felt today and what caused them. Play guessing games with friends or use color charts to match moods. Practicing emotional language daily trains your brain to pause and reflect before reacting. It also makes you more empathetic toward others. Emotional words turn confusion into clarity and chaos into understanding. The more you practice, the easier it becomes to express your truth calmly and clearly.
