Lesson Overview

25.25 – Releasing Guilt That Was Never Yours: Many survivors carry guilt like armor, believing it keeps chaos from returning. But guilt borrowed from others’ actions only weighs down progress. You can’t heal while apologizing for existing. Releasing misplaced guilt starts with recognizing what belonged to them, not you. Write down each false responsibility and say, “I return this.” Healing doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t happen; it means refusing to hold their blame any longer. Letting go creates space for peace and possibility. You are not defined by what was done to you—you are defined by what you choose to do now, with honesty, courage, and grace.
