Lesson Overview

34.18 – Healing When You Feel Disconnected from Your Body: Feeling disconnected from your body often happens after stress, trauma, or emotional overload. You might go through the motions but feel numb or detached. The path back begins with gentle awareness—notice small sensations like warmth, breath, or heartbeat. Grounding exercises, like pressing your feet into the floor or stretching your hands, help you reestablish presence. Activities like art, yoga, or walking can reconnect you to your physical self without pressure. Nourishing food and restful sleep also restore the bond between body and mind. It’s normal for this process to take time; forcing it can create more stress. Patience and consistency are key. Each mindful act rebuilds safety and trust in your body. Over time, you’ll rediscover that being present inside your body isn’t scary—it’s a form of power, peace, and emotional recovery.
