26.03 – It’s Okay to Not Know Exactly Who You Are Yet: Many teens feel they must have their identity figured out by a certain age, but identity is not a test with correct answers—it’s a lifelong process of self-understanding. Not knowing is not a failure; it’s freedom to keep learning. Feelings change, experiences evolve, and language for yourself may shift as you grow. One year you may relate to one label, and later to another, and that’s okay. What matters is staying honest about what feels right in the moment. Identity is like a puzzle that reveals itself piece by piece, and sometimes pieces change shape. Give yourself room to breathe between the questions. People who seem certain today were once unsure too. Instead of fear, treat the unknown as adventure—it’s how authenticity develops. You deserve grace while discovering who you’re becoming, one step and reflection at a time.
