19.36 – What to Do With Art You’re Afraid to Show: Fear of sharing art often comes from vulnerability—the risk of rejection or misunderstanding. But what you create privately still holds immense value. The art you hesitate to show is often the most honest reflection of your inner world. Hiding it doesn’t make it meaningless; it makes it sacred. You can choose to store it, bury it, or ritualize its release by burning, tearing, or burying it safely. The decision itself becomes empowering because it restores control over your story. Whether you reveal it later or not, creating despite fear is a victory. Over time, you’ll learn that self-expression doesn’t require an audience to matter. Your art exists to serve your healing first. The courage to make without needing validation becomes its own reward, reminding you that emotional authenticity is braver than perfection will ever be.
