Lesson Overview

12.35 – Building Grit for the Long Haul: Grit is stamina of spirit—the decision to keep going long after excitement fades. Motivation gets you started; grit keeps you consistent. You build it by showing up when comfort tempts you to stop. Grit grows through repetition, not adrenaline. Every day you endure boredom, fatigue, or failure without quitting, your tolerance for challenge increases. Resilient people aren’t lucky—they’re trained by persistence. Break big goals into smaller milestones, and celebrate each completion. Avoid comparing your pace to others; grit respects endurance over flash. When obstacles multiply, remind yourself why you began. Discipline feels heavy at first but becomes pride later. Over time, grit becomes identity—proof that your word to yourself holds power even when conditions shift, and your strength outlasts circumstance.
