Lesson Overview

21.02 – How Stress Affects Your Body (Headaches, Stomachaches, etc.) Stress doesn’t just live in your thoughts—it shows up in your body like a silent alarm system. When pressure builds, muscles tighten, your stomach may twist, and your head begins to ache from holding tension too long. Your body releases hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, preparing for danger even when there’s no real threat. Over time, this constant alert mode drains your energy and weakens focus. You might notice your sleep changes, appetite shifts, or digestion slows down. These are signs your body is asking for relief, not weakness. Simple things like deep breathing, short breaks, and hydration can reset your system. When you learn to name stress and care for yourself early, you prevent it from turning into exhaustion. Recognizing body cues helps you protect your energy, improve focus, and feel grounded in control again.
