Lesson Overview

29.15 – What to Do When You're Angry at Someone You Love: Anger toward someone you care about can feel confusing and painful. You might worry that showing your feelings will ruin the relationship, but avoiding them can create distance too. Healthy love doesn’t mean never arguing—it means learning to express hurt without cruelty. Using calm words like “I felt dismissed when you did that” builds understanding instead of walls. When you can talk through problems without attacking, you show both respect and strength. Remember, love doesn’t erase anger; it gives you a reason to handle it kindly. Taking time to cool off before talking helps prevent emotional injury. When both people listen with care, anger turns into growth instead of resentment. Love that survives conflict becomes more real, not less.
