Lesson Overview

20.26 – Being Your Own Safe Place: Being your own safe place means learning how to comfort, ground, and protect yourself when the world feels unstable. Safety begins inside—through self-talk that calms, boundaries that protect, and routines that anchor your emotions. You become your own refuge when you stop seeking constant approval and start giving yourself permission to feel and rest. Being safe within yourself doesn’t mean shutting others out; it means you no longer depend entirely on them for peace. It looks like knowing how to breathe through fear, comfort yourself without self-harm, and pause before reacting. You create an inner space where judgment cannot live and compassion leads every decision. The more you practice this, the stronger your inner foundation becomes. When you are your own safe place, life’s storms can shake you but cannot break you, because home lives within your calm responses and unshaken self-worth.
