Lesson Overview

23.39 – How to Handle Being Interrupted or Ignored: Interruptions test patience and self-respect. When it happens, pause, make brief eye contact, and say calmly, “I’d like to finish my point.” If ignored again, repeat once, then disengage and document if needed. Protect your dignity without raising your voice. People learn your value by how you uphold it, not how loudly you defend it. In group settings, use gestures or gentle humor to regain the floor. Over time, assertive persistence earns listening. Being heard is a skill you reinforce through calm repetition and self-assured presence.
