Lesson Overview

27.23 – Crying in Waves: Why It Comes and Goes: Tears rarely follow schedules. One day you function fine; the next a song or scent sends you spiraling. Grief releases itself in waves because emotion moves in cycles, not straight lines. Crying doesn’t mean regression—it means your heart is unclogging sorrow bit by bit. Each wave carries residue of love and longing, washing pain clean for a moment. Suppressing tears can delay healing; letting them flow resets emotional balance. The spaces between crying spells often lengthen naturally as strength rebuilds. Some days calm seas return, surprising you with peace. Other days, storms revisit briefly. Both are progress. Allowing rhythm teaches patience with yourself. Over time, you’ll notice that tears shift from anguish to remembrance—from drowning to floating. Emotional tides will keep moving, but you’ll learn how to ride them instead of fearing their return.
