15.15 – How to Rebuild Trust After Being Lied To: Being lied to can fracture your sense of safety and make every new connection feel risky. Rebuilding trust starts with rebuilding your relationship to truth itself. Give yourself time to process the betrayal before deciding how to move forward. Trust doesn’t return through promises; it grows through consistent action. Start small—observe behavior, not words. Let others show reliability over time instead of rushing forgiveness. Healing also means trusting your own judgment again, learning that believing someone once doesn’t make you foolish. It makes you human. Over time, genuine people will prove themselves through care and transparency. Each healthy interaction slowly repairs what was broken. Trust is rebuilt through patterns of honesty that match their words, and as you witness those patterns, you learn that faith in others—and yourself—can rise again.
