21.10 – How to Calm Your Nervous System Daily Your nervous system thrives on routine signals of safety. Each day, your body needs small reminders that it can relax and recover from stress. Deep breathing, gentle stretching, time outdoors, or listening to calm sounds are powerful cues for balance. Even a few minutes of stillness helps regulate heart rate, digestion, and emotion. The goal isn’t to never feel stressed but to return to calm more quickly each time. The more consistent your practice, the faster your body learns the path back to safety. Think of these moments as daily maintenance for your mental health. Over time, the body becomes more adaptable, and emotional storms feel less overwhelming. Calming your system is less about control and more about teaching your body that peace is always accessible.
