Lesson Overview

4.09 – Grieving the Loss of a Friend or Classmate: Losing someone your age can shake your sense of normalcy. Grief shows up in many ways—sadness, anger, confusion, or numbness. There’s no right way to feel or timeline to heal. Talking about the person and sharing memories can bring comfort. Avoiding emotions may seem easier but delays healing. Lean on friends, family, or counselors who understand what you’re going through. Sometimes helping others grieve helps you too. Over time, pain turns into remembrance and quiet strength. Honor their memory by living in ways that reflect the best parts of them. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting—it means carrying love forward in healthier ways.
