Lesson Overview

9.24 – What If the Danger Is in Your Own Home?: Feeling unsafe at home creates a deep kind of fear because it removes the place meant to protect you. Whether it’s violence, neglect, or constant tension, your body stays on guard even in your room. You deserve safety, and seeking it is not betrayal—it’s survival. Identify one safe adult, hotline, or friend who can help you make a plan. Keep essentials ready in case you need to leave quickly. Emotional safety also matters: grounding exercises, writing, or calling for help remind your mind you still have choices. Even if you can’t leave yet, small acts of control—packing a bag, noting resources, speaking to someone—build inner strength. Your safety is worth action, not silence. Protecting yourself is never disloyal—it’s the first step toward peace and future stability.
