Lesson Overview

16.06 – Breathing, Tapping, and Grounding Exercises: Breathing, tapping, and grounding techniques are physical ways to tell your body that it’s safe. When stress floods your system, your heart races and your thoughts spiral, but these exercises pull you back into the present. Deep breathing slows your heart rate and increases oxygen, signaling calm to your nervous system. Tapping specific pressure points, like your chest or collarbone, releases tension and distracts your brain from panic. Grounding, like feeling your feet on the floor or naming five things you can see, reminds you of your surroundings. These methods don’t erase emotions—they make them manageable. Practicing daily, even when you’re not upset, trains your brain to recover faster during real stress. The more you repeat them, the easier it becomes to stop anxiety before it takes over. Your body learns safety through repetition, turning once-chaotic moments into centered, steady ones.
