Lesson Overview

1.10 – Building a Vocabulary for Your Feelings: Sometimes emotions feel too big to explain, and “fine” becomes the only word you use. Expanding your emotional vocabulary helps you understand yourself and communicate better. There’s a difference between irritated and furious, nervous and terrified, lonely and rejected. Naming your feelings clearly helps others respond the right way. It also helps your brain calm down—language turns chaos into clarity. You can learn emotion words through charts, journaling, or talking to trusted people. The more precise your words, the more control you gain. Feelings don’t have to stay tangled inside when you give them names. Words are tools for healing, not just talking.
