Lesson Overview

9.36 – Finding Adults Who Will Protect You: Not all adults understand trauma, but some are ready to stand up for you. They might be teachers, coaches, neighbors, or mentors who listen and act without judgment. Identify who makes you feel seen and safe, then keep those connections strong. Trustworthy adults don’t just offer advice—they follow through and make sure you’re not alone. You deserve protection that is consistent, not conditional. When you find these people, let them know what helps most—sometimes it’s listening, sometimes it’s action. Having reliable allies helps your nervous system relax; you don’t have to handle fear alone. Over time, being supported teaches your brain that adults can represent safety again. Belief and consistency are powerful healers when the world has been unpredictable.
